The short answer
Singapore pre-orders open on 29 October, with availability from 6 November. Budget S$999 for the entry Wi-Fi model before optional accessories.
The Singapore dates and prices
Apple’s 26 October announcement for Singapore lists the new iPad mini with A20 Pro from S$999 for Wi-Fi and S$1,229 for Wi-Fi + Cellular. Storage options are 128GB, 256GB and 512GB. Eligible education buyers have a starting price of S$929. These are starting prices, not quotes for every configuration.
What changed
The announced hardware includes an 8.5-inch OLED screen and a front camera positioned on the landscape edge. Apple lists support for Apple Pencil Pro and Apple Pencil (USB-C). This is an announcement summary; we have not tested the display, battery or performance.
The basket is bigger than the tablet
Apple lists Pencil Pro at S$199, Pencil (USB-C) at S$119 and the new Smart Folio at S$119. At those advertised prices, a base Wi-Fi mini plus USB-C Pencil and Folio totals S$1,237; choosing Pencil Pro instead totals S$1,317. These are sums of listed items, not a checkout quote or bundle discount.
Before choosing accessories, write down what you will actually do on the tablet. Reading on the train does not automatically require a stylus. If your existing tablet still handles your apps, compare the upgrade with keeping it rather than treating a launch as a deadline to spend.
Before placing a pre-order
Check the selected storage, connectivity, delivery estimate and final total in the Singapore store. For a cellular option, include the separate data plan in your own budget. Do not use a US launch date or a converted overseas price as a Singapore offer.
The right comparison is the complete setup you intend to use. Recheck dates and availability at purchase; this article does not reserve stock.
